Matching and Searching

Postby jdk.chem on Sun May 24, 2009 3:04 am

Whoever wrote the code that determines the matching needs to be fired. I am a chemist yet any job with chemist in the title is at best a "fair" match. Delivery driver well that is a very good match. Selling insurance? Another very good match. Searching for "chemist" is just as pathetic.

If the corporate and government clowns really wanted us working they would not have created this massive cluster-f* they call a hiring process.

Bakery production worker - Excellent Match
Manufacturing CHEMIST - Fair Match

Who is responsible for these idiotic recommendations and ratings?

I agree - there is no rhyme or reason to the CB matches. I get good matches to engineering jobs which require an engineering degree and experience I do not have, but fair or no matches to jobs I actually qualify for. I have found no benefit to searching for jobs using CB auto searches so far. I would guess, if I had money to use the cb resume/plus services there would be much better matches. All I get so far is a lot of junk mail, phishing scams, resume and job search companies offering their expensive services. Employers with listings rarely if ever respond to my applications or emails.
