Considering that today is election day, and politics is something that is being discussed a lot in the office, and I'm sure will continue for the next several weeks, what guidelines (if any) should be in place?

Don't infringe on the freedom of speech, but also don't allow the freedom of being an idiot infringe on your productivity or disrupt a positive corporate culture.
